SUMMERTIME!

WOW! It's been a while since I last posted in this blog! I should have posted sooner but just have been busy looking for furniture for our house. JB and I have been busy having fun searching for some accent chairs to go with our new couch for our house that will be finished in about a month! We are so excited that everything seems to be going smoothly with the house so far. We expect it to be done in about 3-5 weeks. Hoping to move in by the end of August or the beginning of September. This summer has also been pretty busy for JB and I. I was actually gone for a whole month in Virginia visiting my family and helping my parents out with their business. They own an assisted living home and I loved hanging out with the residents there.

Before I went to Virginia, JB and I found out that we are going to have a baby BOY! We found out when I was 17 weeks along and the ultrasound technician said it was 100% accurate. You can definitely tell from the ultrasound pictures. JB and I are extremely happy and thrilled that we are bringing a baby boy into our family! :)

So after we found out we were having a boy, we went up to Ririe, Idaho for JB's family reunion for a few days. It was tons of fun spent with family! Lots of yummy food and fun games were a fun part of the reunion. I wish I had some pictures from the reunion but my phone won't let me save pictures on it! (Need to upgrade to a new phone soon!)

A couple days after the family reunion, I flew to Virginia to help my parents out with their business. While I was out in Virginia I had a great time hanging out with my parents, grandma, cousins and friends. I had a fun time swimming in our local pool in Lovettsville, Virginia! I love that place! So many fun and good memories from when I was a kid! I also had my birthday in Virginia and spent it with my parents and brother in Alexandria. We went to the Chart House Restaurant and looked around the shops in downtown. My husband also sent me a really pretty bouquet of flowers for my birthday! I really did feel spoiled by my hubby and parents that day. Here are some pics from being in VA and from my birthday.

Here is also a picture of my belly at 22 weeks! This is the most recent picture I have of my belly! I know, I need to post more! :)

The week of my birthday I was also thrown a BABY SHOWER by my Aunts Doris and Stephanie! I absolutely LOVED the shower and was showered with cute baby gifts, yummy food and good friends! I had a great time and absolutely loved the cute little Melon Baby that my Uncle Paul and Aunt Stephanie carved for the shower. My cousin-in-law Natalie also made a really cute baby shower Cake. Here are some pictures from the shower!

Yummy Dessert Table with Melon Baby! :)
Holding up a darling little baby outfit!

Gifts from the baby shower!!
So while I was in Virginia having fun with family and friends, JB was holding down our FUTURE FORT! He went and checked on the house almost daily while it's still being built. He was also a trooper and put in insulation in some of the interior walls in the house in 105 degree heat! He did a great job; I'm sure of it! He's such a hard worker and very accurate with his work! Here are some pictures of the house that we are building. These are just a few in order! We are so excited for it to be finished and can't wait to see the finished product!!!

Welp I guess that's it for now! Will be updating more often from now on--I hope! If I'm not too tired from being prego!

Things are a changin' with the KENTS!

Okay, so this blogging stuff is ALL VERY NEW to me! So please bare with me if our site isn't pleasing to the eye yet. I'm still trying to work all of that out. I wanted to start a blog because I don't get to see all of my friends and family very often since a lot of you live in different cities and states. We wanted to share with you all news about us!

So as you may have noticed, we have titled the blog A CHANGING WORLD for a reason! JB and I recently found out that we are going to have a baby before the end of this year! I'm currently 11 weeks along now and we are due November 11--on my brothers birthday! :) We could not be more thrilled and excited! It actually took us a while trying...over a year. I was wondering if we were ever going to get pregnant. I firmly believe that the Lord has plans for all of us! He is rooting for us and wants us to be happy. Sometimes it's hard to trust in Him when we don't know what's going on and are patiently waiting for something to happen! We definitely feel blessed to be having a baby!

Here are a few pictures showing that I was indeed pregnant and a picture that we sent to my parents announcing that we were going to have a baby! Since I didn't have an ultrasound at my first doctor's appointment, we made a cute little sign instead!

Another CHANGE that is happening--we are BUILDING a house! Yup, another HUGE change! The house will be in Saratoga Springs, close to JB's family. Right when we qualified to buy or build a house we looked at buying houses and then I found this awesome house plan online! I had been staring at it for weeks thinking it'd be a really nice plan and then JB kept staring at it and so we contacted the builder! We are building through J. Thomas homes in Utah. They have houses all over the state and we felt lucky to find the PERFECT lot! The back of the house will be facing Utah Lake and the beautiful mountains. It will be a craftsman style house on the outside. The floor plan of the house is also very open which we really like! We feel so blessed and lucky that we will have a place to live before the baby is born. I will definitely be NESTING right when we move in!! haha!! So far it's just a hole in the ground but it's definitely a start! We are pretty excited. It's going to be a nice rambler with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on the main floor. We will finish our basement later to add more bedrooms! Here is a picture that I took from my phone just yesterday! (We will be adding more pictures as the house progresses in the building process!)

I hope you have enjoyed this post and pictures! Feel free to comment if you like. I will be continuing to add more posts over the summer as we grow a baby and build a house! :)
